Industries
Where a workbench fits.
A workbench is not industry software with a trade name printed on the box. It is your documents, your statuses and your reports — and that shape holds wherever a request comes in, becomes a quote, becomes a scheduled job, and has to be findable afterwards.
Read this page as a plan, not a track record. We have no customers in any of these industries yet. HVAC and mechanical contractors are where we start; the other verticals are here because we intend to serve them, and naming an intention is not the same as claiming experience.
What is the same across these trades?
Strip away the trade vocabulary and a service business is four recurring problems, wearing different clothes.
- Work that must not be forgotten. An enquiry sitting in one person’s inbox is a quote that never goes out, and a callback nobody makes.
- A status everyone can see. Not “with Dave”, but quoted, scheduled, waiting on parts, done.
- History attached to the customer. What was installed, what was repaired, what was quoted and declined, and when — so the next visit starts informed.
- Dates that surface themselves. Maintenance, inspections and renewals should arrive in the system, not in someone’s memory.
Which industries does ZetorTech build for?
The first one has a page of its own, because it is the one we have built for. The rest are labelled for what they are.
HVAC and mechanical contractors
First vertical
Dispatch board, job and quote tracking, maintenance reminders and a full customer history in one system, so the office can answer “where is that?” without opening three spreadsheets.
Field service companies
Planned
Who is going where today, what was done at each site, what is still open, and which customer needs a return visit. The same shape as HVAC, without the seasonal maintenance cycle.
Machine shops
Planned
Enquiry, quote, work in progress and delivery as one flow, with the drawing, the revision and the inspection record attached to the job rather than spread across folders.
Small business operations
Planned
The general case: purchase requests, approvals, supplier documents, compliance paperwork and renewals — one flow, one status, one place to look.
What does “planned” mean?
The word is doing real work on this page, so it is worth being exact about it.
- Planned means we intend to serve that kind of business next, using the same core shape and the same three fixed prices.
- It does not mean we have built one, and it does not mean there is a reference we can show you. There is not.
- If your business sits in one of those planned verticals and you want to go first, that is a straight conversation — the sample comes before the build, exactly as it does for everyone else.
If you are not sure which list your business belongs on, describe the work instead: what comes in, what you quote, what you schedule, what has to come back later. The contact form asks for exactly that.
How do I start?
Every vertical is built to the same shape: one internal system, your documents in a status flow, the reports you need. The builds are $1,599, $2,599 or $3,299, one-time. Before any of that there is a $99 System Sample — a clickable demonstration of your own documents, credited in full if you order and refunded in full if you do not order within 30 days.
